Chicken pickle is an authentic home style pickle made from chicken with aromatic spices.This pickle will be a perfect accompaniment with every meal to enjoy the meal much more.

Shelf life:

This can be used up to 2 weeks if stored in an air tight dry glass container

Directions for Chicken pickle:

  1. Marinate the chicken pieces with chilly powder and salt .Keep it aside for an hour.
  2. Heat a pan ,add oil and fry the chicken pieces.
  3. Take a pan or kadai and heat it.Add little oil(1 tbsp) and add finely chopped ginger,garlic ,green chilles Saute them till aroma comes out.
  4. Add Ginger and Garlic paste and saute it , put in normal chilly powder and kashmiri chilly powder and mix well.
  5. Together put some curry leaves along with the fried chicken pieces.Mix well.
  6. Pour little water along with salt, sugar, fenugreek powder, mustard powder and mix well.
  7. Finally add Vinegar and switch off the gas. Store it in a glass container for a day and then use it along with any of your favorite dishes.

Ingredients

To Marinate

  • 1/2 kg Chicken Boneless small pieces
  • 1 tsp Normal chilly Powder Not Kashmiri chilly powder
  • salt As per taste

Other Ingredients

  • 2 tsp Ginger Finely chopped
  • 2 tsp Garlic Finely chopped
  • 2 tsp Green Chilles Finely chopped
  • 2 tsp Ginger paste
  • 2 tsp Garlic paste
  • 1 tsp Normal chilly powder
  • 1 tsp Kashmiri chilly powder
  • 2 silt Curry leaves
  • 1/4 tsp Sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp Fenugreek powder
  • 1/4 tsp Mustard powder
  • 1/2 cup Vinegar
  • 1 Dessert spoon Water
  • 1 tsp Coconut oil for sauting
  • Oil for Frying Preferably coconut oil
