Stepwise description of making Vengaya Malli chutney

  • Roughly ground shallots. Pestle mortar will do. Keep aside.
  • Mix chilli powder and coriander powder with little water in a bowl.
  • Now, Heat oil (preferably coconut oil) and splutter mustard seeds.
  • Crackle urad dhal.
  • To this add red chilli and curry leaves. Saute well.
  • Add prepared masala mix , Salt and ground shallots and saute until raw smell goes off.

  • 1/2 tsp chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp coconut oil
  • 1/4 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp urad dal
  • 2-3 dry red chilly
  • 1 spring curry leaves
  • salt to taste
