Kerala dishes| Cabbage Carrot Thoran

Ingredients :
Cabbage – grated 1 cup
Carrot – grated 1 cup
Green chilli – 3 nos slit
Curry leaves
Mustard seeds
Turmeric powder
Chilli powder
Bengal gram – 1 tsp
Urad dhal – 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Grated coconut – 2 tbsp
Method :
Heat oil, splutter mustard seeds, add in bengal gram and urad dhal. Once it starts changing color,add green chilli and curry leaves. Saute and add the grated vegetables,salt ,chilli powder and turmeric powder.
Sprinkle little water and close the vessel. Let it cook in medium flame until Cabbage and carrot are done. Make sure water doesnt dry out.
Finally add grated coconut,mix well and serve hot !!!
