Peanut Chaat or Masal Verkadalai is a very famous street food especially in Tamilnadu. Shopping here never end without peanut chaat on the streets.

Raw peanuts and spice powders along with onion and other vegetables make a healthy snack/chaat recipe that can be easily prepared at home

They add Raw mango and beetroot grated as well in it. I have added grated carrot and onions in this recipe. Super easy snack recipe that can be tried at home for the kids if your more hygiene specific as street food may cause some harm.peanut chaat

Peanut Chaat recipe:

Peanut chaat

Ingredients

  • 250 gms Raw peanut with skin
  • 2 tbsp onion finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp carrot grated
  • 1/4 tsp chilli powder
  • 1/8 tsp chaat masala
  • salt to taste
  • 1/2 tsp lime juice

Instructions

  • Wash the raw peanuts with skin thoroughly to clear off the mud o the skin. Wash in running water multiple times to clear the mud
  • Peel the skin and take the peanuts in a mixing bowl
  • Add together chopped onions, grated carrots, chilli powder, chaat masala and salt
  • Squeeze lime juice on the top
  • Mix well until all the ingredients are well combined.
