Pepper chicken fry is chicken marinated and cooked with freshly ground flavor of pepper

There are a too  many recipes of pepper chicken and we ourselves cook many varieties of pepper chicken at home. This is one of them where we marinate chicken with freshly ground pepper and few other spices. marinate them for 30 min prior to cooking and just cook the marinated chicken until its roasted. It is one of my favorites and easy to cook too. comes out well always. 🙂 need to impress your guests? You can serve this one confidently!

Instructions:

For marination:

Marinate chicken with turmeric powder, pepper powder, coriander powder. Also, add ginger garlic paste, chilli powder, cumin powder, salt and little oil. Mix well and set it aside covered for 30 min.

Cooking chicken:
  1. Heat oil, saute onions, green chilies and curry leaves with a pinch of salt until onions start turning brown
  2. Now add marinated chicken and mix well.
  3. Close and cook until chicken is cooked. Do not add water as chicken tends to leave out water. Add water only if necessary. Make sure to stir in between and check water.
  4. Once chicken is cooked, open and let it cook until it is dry and roasted.

Before serving just sprinkle the freshly ground pepper in the pepper chicken fry.

Ingredients

Main Ingredient

  • 3/4 kg Chicken cut into small pieces
  • 2 nos green chillies slit
  • 3 nos Onions sliced
  • 3 spring curry leaves
  • 1 tbsp Ginger Garlic paste

To Marinate

  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp chilli powder
  • 2 tbsp corriander powder
  • 3 tbsp pepper powder preferably freshly ground
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tbsp Ginger Garlic paste

Instructions

  • Marinate chicken with turmeric powder, pepper powder, corriander powder, ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp, chilli powder, cumin powder, salt and little oil. Mix well and set it aside covered for 30 min.
  • Heat oil, saute onions, green chillies and curry leaves with a pinch of salt until onions start turning brown
  • Now add marinated chicken and mix well. close and cook until chicken is cooked. Do not add water as chicken tends to leave out water. Add only if necessary. stir inbetween and check water.
  • Once chicken is cooked, open and let it cook until it is dry and roasted.

Notes

Take 2-3 tbsp peppercorns and grind them to coarse powder just before you cook to get the awesome flavor and taste.
