Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cup Rava
  • 1 tsp ghee
  • 1/2 tsp oil
  • 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp urad dal
  • 1 tsp chana dal
  • 2 medium onions - finely chopped
  • 2 long green chilies - finely chopped
  • 1 spring curry leaves
  • 1 inch ginger - finely chopped
  • 1/4 medium capsicum - finely chopped
  • 1/8 cup peas - frozen
  • 1/8 cup carrots - finely chopped
  • salt to taste
  • 3-4 tbsp milk
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped coriander leaves

Instructions

  • Slightly roast the Rava for a couple of minutes or until Rava starts to slightly change its color. Keep it aside.
  • Heat Ghee+Oil mix in a Nonstick Pan, crackle mustard seeds, urad dal and chana dal.
  • Once dal changes its color, add curry leaves,  chopped ginger finely chopped onions, finely chopped green chilies, capsicum, peas and fry for a couple of minutes.
  • Then put in carrots and any other vegetable of your choice. Water to be added is 1:2 ratio. So, add water accordingly and add salt. Salt check: Taste the water and it should be slightly on the saltier side.
  • Close and cook on the medium flame until the vegetables are cooked. Approximately for 4- 5 minutes.
  • Reduce the flame to low and add the roasted rava. Mix well and again close and cook for a minute. Open and mix well again. Lastly add little Milk and mix again.
  • Put in finely chopped coriander leaves and serve Hot with coconut chutney and sambar.
