grind everything given under "to grind coarsely" to a coarse powder.
clean the cauliflower florets and put them in a bowl of hot water with turmeric powder for 15 minutes.
strain it and add the coarse pepper spice mix to it and mix well. set it aside
heat oil in a pan and crackle mustard seeds and cumin seeds.
further add chopped onions and fry till slightly brown.
chop the tomatoes and add it to the pan. fry for a minute.
to this onion tomato mixture, add the marinated cauliflower pieces, salt and 1/2 a cup of water.
close and cook until the cauliflower is soft. may take 10-15 minutes.
open and let it dry on high flame until slightly roasted and colour changes from brown to black.
lastly add chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with rice and curry.
