Ingredients

  • 3/4 Cup Shallots
  • 4-5 Long dry Red chillies
  • 1/4 Cup Chopped coriander leaves
  • 1/2 Lemon sized Tamarind
  • 1/4 Tsp Mustard seeds
  • 1/4 Tsp Urad dal split
  • 1/2 Spring Curry leaves

Instructions

  • Heat oil, fry shallots, red chillies until shallots turn brown.
  • Add roughly chopped coriander and fry for a min.
  • Switch off the flame and add a tamarind piece and salt. Mix well and Let it cool.
  • Add enough water and grind it to a smooth paste.
  • Season it with spluttered mustard seeds, urad dal and curry leaves.
