Dry roast Cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, peppercorns, cumin seeds, fennel seeds
Dry roast until aromatic and keep it aside
Heat oil in same pan, Put in coriander seeds and red chilli. Sauté till aromatic and Take it along with the sautéed spices.
Sauté again Ginger, garlic and green chilli for a minute
Add curry leaves
Put all sautéed spices together and mix. Add Coconut pieces.
Grind to a fine paste. Add little water and make it saucy.
Heat ghee and drop in cumin seeds.
Sauté onions until pink
Add tomatoes and cook until mushy
Drop in Chicken, turmeric powder, salt, ground masala and water.
Mix well and pressure cook for 4-5 whistles.
