Pressure cook rice until done but not mashy. Fluff it up with little oil and keep aside ready.
Heat oil, Splutter mustard seeds, then goes in urad dal and chana dal. Let it get slightly brown.
Add in curry leaves, chopped garlic, chopped cashews and mix well until garlic is browned.
Add chopped onions. saute until pink
Goes in Tomato puree.
Turmeric powder, chilli powder, fenugreek powder, sugar and garam masala. mix well and let oil ooze out.
Add salt and mix again.
when tomatoes are cooked and masala is thick. Add rice and mix well gently.
serve hot with papad and fryums.
