Ingredients

  • 3/4 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1/4 tsp urad dal
  • 1/2 tsp chana dal
  • 1 spring curry leaves
  • 3 green chillies broken
  • 2 medium onions chopped finely
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 2 tbsp crushed peanuts
  • salt to taste
  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
  • 1/2 large lemon

Instructions

  • Heat oil, splutter mustard seeds, urad dal, chana dal, curry leaves, green chillies, chopped onions and turmeric powder.
  • Saute till onions are pink.
  • add crushed peanuts and mix well.
  • add salt and mix again
  • Drop in Cooked rice and gently mix them.
  • squeeze juice of 1/2 large lemon into rice and gently mix. Finally garnish with chopped coriander leaves
