Firstly fry the thinly sliced onions until golden brown and take it in a bowl.
To the fried onions, add cashews, poppy seeds, red chillies, ginger and garlic. Grind it to a fine paste.
Mix the paste with mutton pieces in a mixing bowl.
Further add salt, chopped coriander, chopped mint leaves, chopped curry leaves, turmeric powder, coriander powder, garam masala, chilli powder, and curd.
Mix well and marinate it for at least 1 hour.
Heat butter + oil in a pan and put in the marinated mutton pieces.
Mix well, close and cook until the mutton is well cooked and soft.
Lastly, roast the onion petals in a sepearate pan with a pinch of salt and chilli powder.
Fry until roasted and add the onions to the curry and mix well.
serve hot with chapathi and salad.
