To make the dumplings
- 1 cup wheat flour
- 1/3 cup grated coconut
- 2 tbsp country sugar
- salt a pinch
- 1/8 tsp cumin seeds
To make the coconut sauce
- 1 cup water
- 2 tbsp wheat flour
- salt a pinch
- 2 tbsp grated coconut
- 2 tbsp sugar
Other ingredients
- 1/2 cup thick coconut milk
- 1 tbsp grated coconut - to garnish
to make the dumplings
In a mixing bowl, mix together wheat flour, grated coconut, country sugar, salt, and cumin seeds.
Add water little at a time and work to a smooth soft dough
Make tiny gooseberry sized balls and keep it ready.
Making the coconut sauce
Make a slurry of 2 tbsp wheat flour and mix it with 1 cup water.
Further add grated coconut, salt, and sugar. Mix well and let it get heated up.
Cooking the dumplings in sauce
Drop the prepared balls one at a time slowly into the vessel.
Let it cook on medium heat until all the balls start floating.
Put off and add thick coconut milk. Mix once and serve with grated coconut on top.
