masal kadalai or peanut masala is a spicy, crisp peanuts made for snack.
Servings: 1 cups
- 1 cup raw peanuts
- 1/2 cup gram flour
- 1/4 cup rice flour
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 2 tsp kashmiri chilli powder
- 1/8 tsp asafoetida
- 1/8 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/8 tsp garam masala
- 3 cloves garlic - crushed
- 1/2 tsp lemon juice
- oil - for frying
Mix peanuts with all the ingredients in a mixing bowl.
add lemon juice and sprinkle water little at a time to make a thick batter.
heat oil and deep fry the peanuts. pinch drop the peanuts into hot oil.
turn sides and fry until light and oil sizzle reduces.
Take out and add some fried curry leaves on top.
