Drain water completely from the soaked dal, grind it along curry leaves, 2 red chillies, turmeric powder, salt and asafoetida
Apply oil in idli pan and place the ground paste in idli pan
Steam cook for 5 to 10 min until dal is cooked and comes out like idli
Crumble those and keep it ready
Meanwhile, heat oil, splutter mustard seeds, urad dal, red chilly. Add cabbage, turmeric powder, salt and sprinkle water. Close and cook for 10 min until cabbage is almost cooked.
Now add the crumbled dal and grated coconut and mix well. Serve hot with rice and curry
