Ingredients

For marination

  • 1/4 kg chicken
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp corinader powder
  • 1/4 tsp cumin powder
  • 2 tbsp pepper powder
  • 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 1/4 tsp rice flour
  • 2 tsp corn flour
  • 1 large egg
  • Salt - to taste
  • 1 tbsp lime juice

For saueting

  • 1/4 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1 spring curry leaves
  • 1 large onion - sliced
  • 2 long green chilli - broken
  • 2 tbsp coconut pieces - thinly sliced
  • 1/4 tsp chilli powder
  • 2 tbsp freshly crushed peppercorns

Instructions

  • Marinate chicken with turmeric powder, chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, pepper powder, ginger garlic paste and salt. Mix well and add rice flour and corn flour. Break an egg into it. mix everything together. sprinkle lime juice. refrigerate for 30 min - 45 min.
  • Heat coconut oil, deep fry all the marinated chicken pieces in batch until golden brown.
  • Heat oil, splutter mustard seeds, curry leaves. saute sliced onions until brown.
  • Add green chilli broken, thinly sliced coconut pieces. saute until coconut pieces are brown.
  • Put in chilli powder,freshly crushed peppercorns and salt.
  • Sprinkle little water and add the fried chicken pieces. Toss well
