Ingredients

  • 2 Cups Bottle gourd - Chopped
  • 2 Tbsp Moong dal
  • 1 - 2 Tbsp Tur dal
  • 1/2 Tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 Tsp Cumin powder
  • 4-5 Cloves Garlic
  • Salt - To taste

To grind

  • 1/4 Cup Grated coconut
  • 1/2 Tbsp Sambar powder
  • 1 No Green chilli

Seasoning

  • 1/2 Tsp Mustard seeds
  • 1/4 Tsp Cumin seeds
  • 1 Spring Curry leaves
  • 1 No Red chilli
  • 1-1 1/4 Tbsp Coconut oil

Instructions

  • Grind coconut, green chilli and sambar powder to a fine paste. 
  • Take all ingredients (except ones given under seasoning ) along with ground paste in a cooker with little water. cook to 3-4 whistles in medium flame. 
  • Heat coconut oil/ ghee in a tadka, crackle mustard seeds, cumin seeds, red chilli and curry leaves. add the seasining to the curry.
