Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup wheat flour
  • 3/4 cup millet flour
  • 1 pinch baking soda
  • 1 tsp cerelac
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 1/8 tsp vanilla essence
  • 1/2 tbsp rava

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 180 degree Celsius.
  • Sieve all the dry ingredients and keep it ready. Dry Ingredients are wheat flour, millet flour, baking powder and cerelac.
  • Cream butter and brown sugar until it is pale and smooth. .Add vanilla essence to the butter and mix well. Fold in the dry ingredients along with roasted rava/sooji into butter mixture little at a time.

  • Gather everything with hands without giving much pressure into a flat round of even thickness. Wrap them in a cling wrap and refrigerate for 10 min.

  • Take out the dough and flatten gently to a 1/2 " even thickness round. Cut them with cookie cutter to a shape desired. combine all leftovers, spread again and repeat the process.
  • Arrange them in cookie bake tray. Prick the cookies with fork gently so that it does not fluff up. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degree Celsius for 15 min.
  • Transfer them to a wire rack carefully with a spatula and let it cool completely. Store it in air tight container
