  • 1/4 cup green gram
  • 1 long raw bananas
  • 1/4 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1/4 tsp urad dal
  • 1/8 cup shallots
  • 1 spring curry leaves
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • salt to taste
  • 3 tbsp grated coconut


  • Pressure cook green gram dal with salt and keep it ready.
  • Heat oil, Splutter mustard seeds. Drop in split urad dal. Let it get slightly brown.
  • Add chopped shallots and curry leaves. fry till it gets brown.
  • Put in chopped raw banana, turmeric powder and salt. Mix well and Add little water.
  • Close and cook until it is done.
  • Now add the cooked green gram dal
  • Put off and sprinkle in grated coconut. Mix well and serve!
