  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp chana dal
  • 1 tsp urad dal
  • 1 spring curry leaves
  • 1 large onion - sliced
  • 1.5 cups drumstick
  • 1 large potato - chopped roughly
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp chilli powder
  • salt to taste


  • Heat oil, splutter mustard seeds, urad dal split, chana dal 
  • When it crackles, add curry leaves, sliced onions and fry well for a minute.
  • Now add drumstick pieces and potato
  • further to this, add turmeric powder, chilli powder and salt.
  • Pour in enough water for it to get cooked.
  • Close and cook in medium flame until vegetable is done.
  • open and let it dry. serve with rice and curry
