  • 1 cup grated coconut
  • 1 spring curry leaves
  • 1 long green chilli
  • 1 handful coriander leaves
  • 1/2 inch ginger
  • salt to taste


  • 1 tsp oil
  • 1/4 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1/4 tsp urad dal split
  • 1 spring curry leaves


  • take all the ingredients in a blender. 
  • with very little water, grind it to a smooth paste
  • for seasoning: heat oil, crackle mustard seeds, urad dal and curry leaves. add it to the chutney.
