  • 2 tsp oil
  • 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1/2 tsp urad dal split
  • 1/2 tsp chana dal
  • 1 spring curry leaves
  • 2 no green chilli - split
  • 1 medium cabbage - finely chopped
  • salt to taste
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 2 tbsp grated coconut


  • heat oil in a pan, crackle mustard seeds, urad dal, chana dal and add curry leaves, slit green chillies
  • add chopped cabbage, salt and turmeric powder. Add enough water, close and cook until done. 
  • open and add grated coconut, mix well. serve
