dry roast flaxseeds until it pops and take it in a plate. in same pan, roast chana dal till brown and take it in the same plate.
in same pan, dry roast urad dal, sesame seeds, brown rice one at a time till brown and take it in a plate.
further add red chillies, curry leaves, cumin seeds and peppercorns and fry till chillies puff and curry leaves are crisp. take it in the plate.
cool completely, add asafoetida, salt and grind to a coarse powder.
cool and store it in air tight container. use as and when needed.
