- 2 cups yard long beans - broken
- 10-12 no shallots - sliced to half
- 2 no green chilli - slit vertically
- 3/4 tsp turmeric powder
- 2 tbsp coconut bits
- salt to taste
- 2 tbsp coconut oil
- 1 tsp mustard seeds
- 1 spring curry leaves
- 4-5 no red chilli
- 10-12 cloves garlic
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
yard long beans is broken to 1.5 inch pieces and is taken in a pressure cooker.
shallots, slit green chillies, coconut bits, turmeric powder, salt and 1 cup water is added to the cooker and mixed well.
close and pressure cook for 3 whistle in simmer-medium flame.
heat coconut oil in a mud pot or pan, crackle mustard seeds. while it crackles., roughly crush red chillies, garlic, cumin seeds in a mortar pestle.
add this crushed mixture, curry leaves and fry till raw smell goes off.
add the cooked beans mix and fry in simmer for 5-10 minutes until it shrinks and slightly gets roasted.
serve hot with rice and curry.
