vegetable pasta recipe

Indian style masala pasta recipe with bow tie pasta and vegetables.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups bow tie pasta
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 medium onion - finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup vegetables - bellpeppers, carrots, olives
  • 2 medium tomato - paste
  • salt to taste
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tbsp tomato sauce

Instructions

  • boil water with salt and cook the pasta in it for 5-8 minutes or until soft. 
  • strain and keep it ready. 
  • heat oil and add crushed ginger garlic, chopped onions and fry till transparent. 
  • add chopped vegetables of your choice and fry for a minute. 
  • puree the tomatoes and add them along with turmeric powder, chilli powder, garam masala and salt. 
  • mix well, close and cook for 5 minutes until tomatoes and vegetables are cooked. 
  • open, mix once and add the cooked pasta to it. 
  • lastly add tomato sauce and mix well. cook for a minute and serve hot.
