Ingredients

To cook rice

  • 1-1.5 cups basmati rice
  • 1 tsp oil

Sauteing Vegetables

  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 large onion - finely chopped
  • 2 inch ginger - finely chopped
  • 5-6 cloves garlic - finely chopped
  • 1/2 large carrot - finely chopped
  • 2 long-french beans - finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup cabbage - chopped
  • 1 long green chilli - finely chopped
  • 1/2 large capsicum - finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp spring onions - finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup paneer - finely chopped
  • 3/4 tsp pepper powder
  • 1/4 tsp soya sauce
  • 3/4 tsp tomato-chilli sauce
  • Salt - As per taste

Instructions

  • Soak the Basmati rice for 30 min. Bring a bowl of water to rolling boil and put in the soaked basmati rice into it along with salt and a tsp of oil.  When done, Strain and spread the rice in a plate to cool in completely before tossing with vegetables.

  • Heat oil, crackle cumin seeds, throw in chopped onions, ginger and garlic. saute until onions are pink. Now put in all the chopped vegetables along with chopped paneer.
  • Close and cook until veggies are almost done. When the veggies are cooked. Add salt, pepper powder and mix well. Now to this, we can toss in cooked rice, soya sauce and chilli sauce. Toss it and adjust salt.
