- 3/4 tbsp urad dal split
- 3/4 tbsp chana dal
- 2 - 2 1/2 tbsp flax seeds
- 5-6 long dry red chilies
- 3-4 medium sized tomatoes - finely chopped
seasoning
- 1 tsp mustard seeds
- 1/2 tsp urad dal
Heat oil, crackle urad dal, chana dal until slightly brown.
Put in Flax seeds and let it pop. while it starts popping, add red chilies and roughly chopped tomatoes.
Add salt and let it cook until tomatoes are mushy.
Grind it to a smooth paste. Transfer to a bowl.
For seasoning: Heat oil, splutter mustard seeds and urad dal. pour on the chutney. mix well and serve with dosas or idlis.
