  • 1 cup ridge gourd - roughly chopped
  • 1/4 cup grated coconut
  • 1/2 inch ginger
  • 2-3 dry red chilli
  • 1 tbsp gram dal
  • salt - to taste


  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1 red broken red chilli


  • Cook roughly chopped Ridge gourd. It takes 10-15 min to get completely cooked.
  • Grind Coconut, Gram dal, Red chilli, Ginger and cooked Ridge gourd with salt to a fine paste.
  • Seasoning is optional. For seasoning, crackle mustard seeds and red chilli and add to the chutney.
