Ingredients

masoor dal

large onion finely chopped

Green chilly chopped

Red chilli chopped

Ghee

Fresh unsalted butter
Salt to taste

Instructions
First cook dal to 3 whistles. Add turmeric and little oil when cooking dal.
Meanwhile, heat oil, fresh butter in kadai, splutter mustard seeds, sauté onion,tomato,green chilli, red chilli, curry leaves, garlic.once it cooks well, add jeera powder, salt and cooked dhal..
Stir it until the tempering mixes well. Add enough water to this as the cooked dal drinks more water!
Now adjust salt, add ghee, dry methi leaves and corriander leaves, mix well and serve hot with rotis!:-)
