- 2 tbsp sesame oil
- 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
- 1/8 tsp fenugreek seeds
- 1 tsp chana dal
- 1 tsp split urad dal
- 1 sprig curry leaves
- 2 no red chilli - broken
- 2 tbsp peanuts
- 1 medium raw mango - grated
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
- salt to taste
- 1.5-2 cups cooked rice
heat sesame oil in a pan and crackle mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds, chana dal, split urad dal, curry leaves and red chilli.
together add peanuts and fry for a minute.
At this stage, add grated raw mango , turmeric powder and salt. Fry until it shrinks a little.
Lastly add cooked rice at room temperature and fluff it up with fork gently.
serve fresh with pickle/fryums
