Karuveppilai Uthappam  ~ Spicy Healthy curry leaves Pancake  

In south indian kitchen dosa batter is a very common item found in every fridge. When  you have the dosa batter ready,its all about the additional ingredient you add to spice it up. You can make it instantly and its so fresh aromatic and healthy too.  

Karuveppilai Uthappam recipe


Ingredients
:
Dosa batter – 2 cups
Curry leaves –  4 to 5 springs
Ginger an inch
Onion 1 no
Green chilli 1 no
Cumin seeds – 1 tsp   Method:
Grind all the above ingredients except cumin seeds with little salt.
Add cumin seeds and mix well.
Spread the uthappam with little oil in nonstick uthappam pan
Cook on both sides.
Serve hot with coconut chutney or onion tomato chutney

You can use normal dosa pan instead of uthappam pan.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Dosa batter
  • 4-5 sprig Curry leaves
  • 1 inch ginger
  • 1 no onion
  • 1 no green chilli
  • 1 tsp Cumin seeds
  • salt to taste

Instructions

  • Grind all the above ingredients except cumin seeds with little salt.
  • Add cumin seeds and mix well.
  • Spread the uthappam with little oil in nonstick uthappam pan
  • Cook on both sides.
  • Serve hot with coconut chutney or onion tomato chutney
