Creamy potato mash for babies – Carbohydrate and starch rich weight gaining recipe for babies above 6 months.

Creamy potato mash for babies:

Step 1: clean the potatoes. Select firm potatoes and wash them. Peel the skin and cut them into smaller cubes.
Step 2 : boil them. Cook in high flame until it starts boiling and then reduce it to simmer and close the lid and cook.
Add a pinch of salt and 2-3 cumin seeds. This is optional. You can even cook without adding salt and cumin seeds.
Step 3: strain and transfer it to a bowl. Smash it with a fork.
Step 4: Add milk powder to make it to a paste.prepare milk powder by dissolving half scoop milk powder in little warm water and add this to potato smash.
Step 5:smash it again and mix well to a paste. Adjust consistency according to your baby’s age.

Note:
1. You can discard cumin seeds after boiling potatoes or use cumin powder a pinch.
2.Consult pediatrician before starting any solid foods.
3. Adding lactogen is optional to make it creamy and tasty. Breastmilk can also be added instead of milk powder for babies below 1 year.
