Kaulige Foods was started by a group of friends and food enthusiasts who found that millets, the food they and their grandparents have been eating since childhood, are now only available in specialty shops and are getting out of the reach of the common man. Arun Kaulige, one of the founders, has been a keen observer of the changing food habits of people. A food historian and restaurateur, he has been experimenting with millets for some time and found that when cooked in a proper way millet dishes, especially traditional Karnataka specialties like bisi bele bath, Vangi bath, dosas and other dishes, are as enjoyable to people as any other dish. Therefore, Kaulige Foods was started to give millets a modern makeover and re-introduce millet into the diet of every Indian.kaulige foods

Happen to meet Mr. Arun at a Foodies meet, Bangalore and go to know lot more about Millets and its importance. It was my pleasure to receive Foxtail Millet bisibelabath mix from them. I was eager to try it out and couldn’t wait for the morning to shoot the recipe. Just as a token of appreciation for all the hard work they put in to spread the importance of Millets to everyone, this post is exclusively dedicated to kaulige foods.
