Paneer roast recipe | Paneer fry recipe with detailed instructions below,

heat oil in a pan, add all the ingredients except paneer. that is add turmeric powder, chilli powder, kashmiri chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala, ginger garlic paste and curd

mix well until it is smooth

Further add curry leaves and green chilli slit. adjust green chilli based on the spice level

add garlic cloves, finely chopped onions to the pan.

furthermore, add salt to taste and fry well

fry until oil leaves out. now, add the paneer slices. paneer slices should not be too thin nor too thick. adjust the thickness accordingly.

Turn sides and cook until both the sides are roasted completely. keep the flame low to make sure the masala does not get burnt. paneer gets roasted faster not more than 10 minute you will have to cook.

You can also stop it with some masala so that you can have it with roti/rice. If having it as starter, dry the masala. keep spreading the masala on the sides over the paneer and turn over so that masala is coated well and gets roasted.

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp kashmiri chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  • 1/4 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1/4 cup curd
  • 2 springs curry leaves
  • 2 long green chilli slit
  • 7 cloves garlic
  • 1/4 cup onion finely chopped
  • salt to taste
  • 8 thin long paneer slices

Instructions

  • heat oil in a pan, add turmeric powder, chilli powder, kashmiri chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala, ginger garlic paste and curd. mix well until it is smooth 
  • Further add curry leaves and green chilli slit, garlic cloves, finely chopped onions to the pan and salt to taste and fry well
  • fry until oil leaves out. now, add the paneer slices. 
  • Turn sides and cook until both the sides are roasted completely.
