Mutton dum biryani … Sunday special..

Cook mutton pics seperately  in salt, coriander powder, turmeric powder and chilli powder to 4-5 whistles.

Heat oil in a wide kadai , add patta, lavang, sliced onions, green chilli 3 nos slit

Meanwhile cook the basmati  rice to 3/4th with little lemon juice and few drops of oil.

When the onions are sauted well, add ginger garlic paste to it and saute until raw smell goes off.

Add chopped tomatoes and saute well

To this, add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt

Add mint leaves and curd 1 cup and saute well in medium flame.

Now add the cooked mutton to this and make sure there is less water. Rice is 3/4th cooked and mutton is also cooked. So add water only to make the rice completely cook.

Put boiled rice and mix well

Sprinkle food colour on top of the rice

Keep a stone dosa pan on the stove and the vessel on top of it, this makes sure rice does not burn..

Wet a cloth and cover the lid with it and close it.

Let it cook in simmer for 15 min and serve hot hot !!!
