This recipe has got potato, wheat bread and spinach in it. Indian Souffle recipe in particular with little bit of Indian touch in it. We can call this Potato Spinach souffle or bread spinach souffle 🙂 However it is a yummy and tasty dish, a must try at home!

Potato Spinach Souffle ~ Potato souffle recipe -Pictorial Directions

  • Make bread crumbs with fresh bread/use ready made breadcrumbs. I have used home made wheat bread to make bread crumbs.
  • Cook Spinach with little water for 5-8 minutes.Strain and keep it ready
  • Pressure cook potatoes, peel and mash them well. Keep it aside.
  • Separate Egg whites and yolks in two different bowls.
  • Whip Egg white until it gets creamy and stiff. To the consistency where you can tilt the bowl and it does not fall 🙂
  • Beat Egg yolk with salt and pepper powder until combined.
  • Add mashed potatoes and beat again until smooth without lumps.
  • Mashed potato egg yolk mixture to be added to the bread crumbs. (Set aside little bit of bread crumbs for bottom layer)
  • Fold Gently and then put in whipped Egg white. Mix gently.
  • Now add Red chilli powder and Grated Cheese. Fold in gently. (You can Skip Cheese if your health specific). Also cheese and red chilli can be added with breadcrumbs before adding egg yolk to avoid too much folding at this stage. Fold in gently so that air bubbles stay alive making the souffle soft and fluffy.
  • Preheat oven to 220 deg c.
  • Grease bowl, coat with a layer of breadcrumbs and pour in souffle mixture.
  • Bake at 220 deg c for 15 -18 min.
