Lauki sabzi south indian style

Ingredients

  • 2 cups bottlegourd chopped
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp chilli powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 3/4 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 large onion chopped
  • 3 no garlic chopped
  • 1 no green chilli chopped
  • 1 sprig curry leaves
  • 1/4 cup peas
  • 1 no tomato chopped
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp chilli powder
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1/4 cup coconut milk

Instructions

  • In a pressure cooker, take chopped bottle gourd along with turmeric powder, chilli powder, salt and water.
  • Pressure cook for 3-4 whistles. open and mash it slightly.
  • Heat oil in another pan, splutter cumin seeds, onion, garlic, green chilli, curry leaves and fry well.
  • further, add peas, tomato, water, salt and close cook for 10 minutes.
  • open and mix once. add the cooked and mashed bottle gourd
  • furthermore, add turmeric powder, chilli powder , water and let it come to a boil.
  • later, add coriander powder, garam masala and cook further for 5 minutes.
  • Mix once and add coconut milk . just heat it up and put off.
  • serve hot with chapathi.
