Mushroom Chops Recipe – Chopped Mushroom simmered in simple Indian curry. Quick and simple curry idea for chapathi. Easy lunchbox recipe.

Mushroom is finely chopped and simmered in a medium spicy masala base. Goes well with chapathi and pooris. IT is a great dish for stuffed dosa. For Mushroom masala dosa, this is a perfect recipe. cook the dosa with ghee and use the leftover sabzi stuffing. Tada! flavorful!

Mushroom Chops Recipe – Pictorial Description

  • Heat oil, crackle shahi jeera. If not available replace it with cumin seeds.
  • saute finely chopped onions and green chillies until onions are pink.
  • Add ginger garlic paste and saute for a couple of minutes.
  • Add finely chopped capsicum and fry again.
  • Then goes in tomatoes.
  • Add turmeric powder, chilli powder and pepper powder. mix well. close and cook for a couple of minutes in simmer.
  • Put in finely chopped mushroom and mix well. add salt and close and cook until mushroom leaves out all water and gets cooked. Need not add water as mushroom tends to leave out water by itself and starts shrinking. open and let it dry to the consistency you require.

  • 1 tsp shahi jeera

  • 1 long green chillies
  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 2 tbsp capsicum finely chopped
  • 1 medium sized tomato finely chopped
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp pepper powder
  • 1 packet mushrooms very finely chopped

  1. Simple & yummy recipe. Tried out with minor changes (did not add capsicum & blended mushrooms for 1 churn before adding to the mixture like a kheema), tastes excellent with phulka and add stuffing for dosa. Thank you Jinoo!! ?

    1. Thats great ! Thanks a ton for your genuine feedback. blending them in food chopper instead of blender will make it crumbled without having it blended too much to a paste. More like kheema you expect. 🙂
